Provisioning Helper aka SMB Activation Sample Application available

The "Provisioning Helper" aka the "SMB Activation" sample application developed by BroadSoft to demonstrate quick creation of an enterprise and underlying users, etc...is now freely available to the community.  There are 3 separate downloads:

  1. The source code of the application.  The application was written in Java, as a web application (.war).  A Javascript-based GUI was used to create the 2 web pages in this application.  JSON is used to communicate between a browser displaying the web page, and the web application.  Get the source here.
  2. A runnable application.  This is a .war file that can be deployed in a lab Xtended Services Platform (Xsp) server, using the standard install and deploy procedures for Xsp web applications.  Get the .war application here.
  3. A document describing the basic design and OCI-P message sequence this application uses.  Read the .pdf here.

This was demonstrated at the Show Me The Apps session at Connections 08, BroadSoft's Executive User Conference in Phoenix.

In essence, this application takes a few input parameters from a web page and issues the various OCI-P commands in sequence to create an enterprise, give it some phone numbers and features, create a group and users, and assign these users numbers and features.

We anticipate that most customers/partners/developers can take this application and its' code, examine it and integrate parts of it (whichever parts are applicable) into a back-end order fulfillment process.  I'd encourage anyone interested to download it and take a look.  Post any questions on this to the Q&A forum, tag it with OCI-P please.

BroadSoft's professional services organization can be contacted if someone needs it modified for custom use, etc.  Shoot David Rosenthal [drosenthal@broadsoft.com] an email if interested.

Thanks.
