Its time to think about onboarding your app to Marketplace
As you know some exciting changes have taken place with the Xtended Marketplace.

Very briefly, the new eCommerce enabled Marketplace beta allows you to sell your Xtended apps direct to end users of service providers who deploy an Xtended Application Store. This new direct-to-end-user model with a revenue sharing business model attaches an attractive monetization component to your participation in the Xtended program.

If you have been following our progress through our Connections 2009 show or otherwise, you may have seen this announcement where we launched some early adopter application partners who have already onboarded their apps and are well on their way to monetization through the Marketplace.

So what does this mean for Xtended apps?
Well, because the new Marketplace will be an active “transaction enabled” Marketplace, we are requiring that all apps posted follow our new onboarding guidelines. An onboarded application can be purchased and provisioned online and has clearly defined support agreements in addition to a few other details. The onboarding process is straightforward and takes about 4 weeks including testing. The benefit to you is that you onboard only once and the application is potentially available to the entire BroadSoft customer base of 450+ carriers who create an Xtended App Store thanks to a common Xsi layer and a standardized Marketplace API.
