Are group admin's users?

I was trying to retireve enterprise/group directory lists using xsi in the sandbox. I noticed that as long as I was using a valid sandbox user in the request I am able to retrieve the directory, however if I use the group admin id I get an error and nothing returned for data.

Valid example request:

xsp2.xdp.broadsoft.com/com.broadsoft.xsi-actions/v2.0/user/alanpUser1@xdp.broadsoft.com/directories/Enterprise

Invalid example using group admin id:

xsp2.xdp.broadsoft.com/com.broadsoft.xsi-actions/v2.0/user/alanpGroupAdmin@xdp.broadsoft.com/directories/Enterprise

In both cases I authenticate using the group admin credentials. I know that I have the usual three users in the sandbox which is the max number of users, but I also have a group admin user that does not show up in any directory list. Is the three user limit in the sandbox the problem or are group admins simply not viewed as users?

Specifying a group of numbers to block via Xsi APIs...

Hello all,

I am wondering if the following scenario is supported by the product and if so, which Xsi interfaces would be required. The scenario:

User wishes to specify a list of phone numbers that should be blocked. If a caller from the blocked list calls the user, a custom treatment is played. The user can create multiple "block" lists with different treatments. User can add/delete a phone number to a "blocked" list. Questions are:

What is the Xsi interface to create such a "blocked" list?

What is the Xsi interface to add/remove phone numbers from the "blocked" list?

What is the Xsi interface to specify a custom audio treatment for a given "blocked" list?

Thanks,

JK

Query Parked Call Data?

Our company uses the Broadworks Receptionist program (v14.3) to manage our Cincinnati Bell managed IP PBX. The issue is that we park multiple calls and lose the park number and caller phone number when the calls bounce back to our receptionist. I am looking for some method of polling the "parking lot" so this information isn't lost. Currently these parked calls disappear from the receptionist screen and we are at a loss.

Our phones are Polycom IP 650's at our reception desks, if that helps any. I've tried to invoke the Phone State Polling features within the Polycom Sounpoint software but so far have come up empty.

PHP OCI-P SOAP

I am looking into open sourcing my PHP code that utlizes the OCI-P SOAP interface. I guess the question would be is there a need for PHP programmers to utlize this code and develop towards. I would package it up using the PEAR standards. Please provide comments if you would be interested in helping develop the source code. I have a library of services started that handles the password algorthim along with a collection of requests being sent in one envelope. The Commands are being built using DOMDocukment. Someone may have already started such a project and I don't want to re-invent the wheel.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

A problem causing BroadWorks platform to crash (vxml sessions not released)

Hi all,

Our company has been using BroadWorks as our speech platform for twelve months. We have found a serious intermittent problem occurring on BroadWorks. It causes the platform to crash and we have to restart the media server to return the system to normal operation. We have experienced this issue around six times.

Based on our analysis, the problem can be described in six phases below:

Phase 1: Before VXML sessions are not released.
In this phase the platform works normally. It generates a vxml session per call and successfully released the vxml session.
But some of the calls had errors (i.e. error.noresource) occurred in it.

Phase 2: VXML sessions not released.
For unknown reason, BroadWorks then enters a state where the system creates a vxml session per call but does not release the session.
Here is an example:
-----Start------------
(08:57:24.256521) INFO {0383522406.vxml-0395704937-2010.08.30-08.57.24-80037} <Session tracking> [BroadWorks VoiceXML Session] "N/A" : initVoiceXmlSession
(08:57:24.258227) INFO {0383522406.vxml-0395704937-2010.08.30-08.57.24-80037} <Session tracking> [BroadWorks VoiceXML Session] "N/A" : session.connection:
... (blah blah)
(08:57:24.258258) INFO {0383522406.vxml-0395704937-2010.08.30-08.57.24-80037} <Session tracking> [BroadWorks VoiceXML Session] "N/A" : session.values:
undefined
(08:57:24.258276) INFO {0383522406.vxml-0395704937-2010.08.30-08.57.24-80037} <Session tracking> [BroadWorks VoiceXML Session] "N/A" : Launching interpretation...
(08:58:43.967477) ERR {0383522406.vxml-0395704937-2010.08.30-08.57.24-80037} <Method call> [BroadWorks MRCP SIP Session] "N/A" : MrcpSipSession::msgProcThreadFn unknown message type:608
-----End------------

If the vxml session is released, in call logs we should be able to see something like:
(08:57:11.300478) INFO {0383522406.vxml-0394394629-2010.08.30-08.57.10-80032} <Session tracking> [BroadWorks VoiceXML Session] "N/A" : releasing session 80032

But in the call logs which the session was not released I can not this bit of information.

Phase 3: The system rejects new calls (no ports available)
During this time users get engaged signal. No calls can get through. It seems all vxml ports are engaged by the stale vxml sessions. In logs ms.syslog we can see the media server keep sending 'msNoPortsAvailable' messages.

Phase 4: The media server detects stale sessions and deletes them.
In this phase, the media server detects stale sessions and deletes them. In ms.syslog the 'msStaleSession' messages are sent during this period.

Phase 5: The system accepts new calls again but the vxml sessions still could not be released.
It seems the media server has deleted some stale sessions so there are ports available again. So the system starts to accepted new calls but from the call logs I can see the sessions are still not release. User can get through the call but can not hear anything.

Phase 6: We have to restart media server to make it work again.

I cannot think of any reasons as to why the vxml session is not released when the user hangs up. It may be a bug. It is becoming a big problem for us as our customers are not happy. Has anyone else who uses the BroadWorks platform experienced the some problem? Could someone from BroadSoft comment on this and give some suggestions please?

Regards,

Chris Han

Is it possible to disabling SIP authentication when 'subscribing' to a busy lamp field URI?

Is it possible to disable SIP authentication when subscribing to a busy lamp field URI? The reason I am asking is that when using a Linksys SPA-962 IP phone without any SPA-932 sidecarts subscribed extensions flash amber after the initial 401 Unauthorized response is received, eventually the line appearances will go green after the monitored user makes a call and the phone receives a update.

Thanks
